Dr. N. K. Gupta did his M.B.B.S. from the King George Medical College, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh in the year 1965. He started his career as a private practitioner at Bareilly and got married to Smt. (Dr.) C. K. Gupta. Late (Smt), Dr. S.K. Gupta was the leading Gynaecologist of Bareilly. They together had started the ever first Nursing Home by name Sheel Maternity and Surgical Nursing Home at Alamgiriganj, Bareilly in the year 1979. Its is the vision and commitment of Dr. N.K. Gupta that, they started the First Multi Super Specialty Hospital of Western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand by the name of Sheel Hospital in the year 1989. Today, the Sheel Group owns ten major Hospitals and Institutions at Bareilly.
It was in the year 1979 when I laid down the foundation of Sheel Group of Hospitals & Institutions.
I have always believed in delivering high class & quality health care services and have focused myself in the promotion of not only secondary & tertiary care, but also in primordial & primary prevention of diseases. Our infrastructure has given smiles to countless number of families and i have always aimed high to achieve my VISION of “Perfect Health Care for All”. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
My interest in upgrading the academics in the field of nursing and paramedical services reflects in the successful running of our Gangasheel School of Nursing and Paramedical College which has helped thousands of youngsters in getting quality professional training and job thereafter in not only India but overseas as well. In this sequence, we have started first private Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital of Western Uttar Pradesh in Bareilly since the year 2011.
